MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. -- Instructors with the Paul H. Lankford EPME Center spent an hour here, Feb. 10, punching each other, for fun.

The Airmen joined in a boxing class taught by Tech. Sgt. Angelo Gomez, EPME instructor, as part of the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's volunteer fitness classes.

"So far the feedback has been great, and the folks that are coming now have made tremendous strides in this sport," said Gomez in a staff-wide email.

Gomez currently holds the classes in the Wilson Hall activities building Monday and Wednesdays, from 3 to 4 p.m. He teaches fundamentals, safety and equipment use, as well as offers his know-how during sparing sessions.

Gomez said the classes are for anyone who is interested in the sport of boxing.
