MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. - Staff and faculty assigned to the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center in East Tennessee learned emergency response skills from the 134th Security Forces Squadron mid-May to help ensure safe and prepared classrooms as on-campus attendance increases.

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Kirk Lewellyn and Master Sgt. John Champion, training managers assigned with the 134th Security Forces Squadron, instructed TEC’s Airmen in life-saving skills. The security forces sergeants also trained the team on active shooter response.

On-campus classes are increasing at a steady rate, to include the return of in-residence Airman Leadership School in June after enlisted professional military education moved to virtual lessons during the pandemic in 2020.
