Brown Training and Education Center MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. -- Two people were recently selected as the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's Noncommissioned Officer and Civilian of the Quarter, covering the first quarter of the calendar year, January to March 2013. Both individuals work here as part of the Media Engagement Division in the TEC for the Air National Guard, and each is a full-time employee. NCO of the Quarter is Staff Sgt. Chalandra Roberts, an active duty Air Force combat correspondent and videographer. Civilian of the Quarter is Dustin Russell, an instructional systems specialist. "I am so proud of Sergeant Roberts and Mr. Russell," said Maj. Gabriel Johnson, MED chief. "They performed outstanding this quarter." Johnson said the recognition is well deserved, and it serves to draw attention to the exciting education and training programs they've been working on. "It's been a great quarter for the Media and Engagement Division because the contributions of our active duty and civilian Airmen have made such a profound impact on our mission to educate and inspire the Total Air Force," said Johnson. TEC Commander, Col. Timothy Cathcart, announced the winners March 21 in an email. "It's great to recognize these standouts in our lineup of superstars here at the TEC," wrote Cathcart. "Thanks for all you do, every day, in taking care of America."
