Two Airmen were recently recognized here as the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) and Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) of the Quarter for the calendar year, covering July to September 2013.

Both individuals work at the Paul H. Lankford Enlisted PME Center for the Air National Guard.

SNCO of the Quarter is Master Sgt. Melissa DiQuinzio, superintendent for Lankford Center's satellite EPME. Prior to her initial assignment at TEC she served as a medical technician for the Rhode Island Air National Guard.

NCO of the Quarter is Tech. Sgt. Drew Carson, EPME instructor. He came to TEC from active duty aircraft maintenance as a hydraulics specialist on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC.

"Both Airmen had a tremendous impact on our mission during the previous three months while exhibiting a steadfast dedication to self-improvement and community involvement," said Maj. Gabe Johnson, deputy commander in an emailed announcement.

"They truly embody the spirit of integrity, service and excellence we all work to instill in the future leaders of our Air Force," Johnson wrote.
