Morrisey's invitation
MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. – An invitation to Air National Guard Col. Edmund Morrisey invites him to his Order of the Sword ceremony March 20, 1990 and is displayed here in Morrisey Hall. Morrisey was the sixth Air National Guard officer to ever receive the non-commissioned officer corps’ honor and is the only Air National Guard colonel and its lowest ranking officer to ever be awarded it. Morrisey was commandant of the first Noncommissioned Officer Academy class at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center and its first commander, 1968-1983.
