Spruance Hall
MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. – A photo shows early construction on Spruance Hall at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center campus. The building once held the Center’s Lt. Gen. John Conaway Library after its dedication in 1993 and held the graphics and video production offices. The library moved to the classroom building in 1996 to make additional room for the TEC TV broadcast studio and the distance learning program. The building was dedicated to Brig. Gen. William W. Spruance, a strong supporter of the Center who made thousands of presentations on flying safety and crash survival and continued his lifelong support of aviation education and Air National Guard service.
