Guard Aids Construction Project Operation Devil Hammer
I.G. Brown Training and Education Center
March 22, 2012 | 0:59
Guardsmen have teamed up with Coalition Forces in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, to support Operation Devil Hammer. The multi-million dollar project, which spanned through the winter months, has involved approximately 650 servicemembers, many of them construction engineers from U.S. National Guard units. The Guardsmen have helped to expand and build up nine forward operating bases, constructing buildings, helicopter landing zones, and firing points, among other things. Their efforts are also helping to curb insurgent activity along Highway 1, which stretches from Kabul to Kandahar. Video by Spc. Tanangachi Mfuni.
