Tony McMillan, Commander 145th Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard, answers questions about the Modular Airborne FireFighting System (MAFFS) flown inside a C-130 aircraft from his unit in Charlotte, N. C. The MAFFS is a wild fire serge mission that aids firefighters on the ground trying to contain and put out fires and to save property and lives. The units are owned by the U.S. Forest Service.
