Col. Kevin Donovan, commander of the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center, awarded medals and plaques here as well as spoke with staff about the center's new official logos, among other topics discussed in his first commander's call.

About 50 Airmen were in attendance for the June 2 event in the Wingman Hall building. The center holds commander's calls quarterly.

Donovan presented five awards, including Meritorious Service Medals to Master Sgt. Don Pierson, Master Sgt. Jose Santiago and Tech. Sgt. Chalanda Roberts. He gave quarterly award plaques to Tech. Sgt. Joseph Hunter and Master Sgt. Jerry Harlan.

Among other discussions, the commander said that the TEC reshaped its two shield emblems used by the center and by the Chief Master Sergeant Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education Center into revised, rounded logos. It also eliminated the Media and Engagement Division's emblem.

The changes keep the center in line with authorized U.S. Air Force heraldry. Updates to campus property, memorabilia and other communications are forthcoming.
